Second Bathroom
I added more photos to my Remodel set on flickr that shows the second bathroom layout. Because of the location of the sewer, the bathroom had to be moved from where I originally wanted it. It's as close to the sewer as it can possibly be. The sewer isn't very deep so the fall of the bathroom pipes isn't as steep as it would need to be if it were located across the room like I had it. Due to space issues, it looks like I will get a pocket door and a corner sink.
Here are the new fixtures and such:

The Beginning
The remodeling work has begun! Yesterday Jason and his crew ripped out all the old ceiling tiles in the basement. It looks empty, but promising. I can sort of envision what things will look like after they are completed. I'm thinking more of my new studio space than anything else. I'm excited to buy new furniture and lay out a plan for that space, as well as for the rest of the basement.
We moved everything out of the basement and most of it is upstairs in the main living space. Some of it is also in the garage. It took us a couple of days to move everything and figure out where it was going. I managed to sell my old sofa and TV on the first day that I posted it to Craigslist. I was psyched by that. The one great thing about moving is purging and downsizing. That feels good.
