Simple Pleasures Hat

I started this Simple Pleasures Hat last weekend. I'm using Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Lace and Rowan Kidsilk Haze. All that ribbing gets turned up into a cuff. I'm hoping it's really warm because the last few days here have been freezing! Brrr!

Rainy Day Project

I had been coveting a fedora from Anthropologie a while back (it's now out of stock and no longer on their website), but at $48, I thought it was a bit expensive. I found this cheaper alternative at Charlotte Russe, which was a steal for only $15! However, I didn't like the striped ribbon, so I replaced it with some Amy Butler fabric from my stash. The fabric flower is from the Amy Butler Anna Tunic pattern. Below is the before and after.

Just in Time

I finished this new hat just in time for today's rainy weather. The pattern is A Better Bucket from Amy Swenson and can be found here. I used some leftover Lion Brand Wool-Ease from my stash. The hat was a little too big when I finished it, so I folded over the brim and sewed on the buttons.

Hats Off

After finishing the Aprés Surf Hoodie, I wanted to work on something simple and quick. This Matilda & Tillie hat pattern from Ravelry nicely fit my knitting needs. I'm using a skein of sage colored Lamb's Pride. I got the crown finished, now I'm working on the brim. Photos to be posted later!
