Dress for Spring

This dress is from A Fortes Design by Janessa Bautista, a local independent designer who recently moved to PDX from New York. It's made from hemp silk and I love the simple lines and clever gathering at the neck and waist. I dig the on seam slit pockets too with the button closure and contrasting fabric. This dress is from the fall/winter 08 collection and was at a sample sale at Olio United last weekend. I was lucky enough to purchase the last one! I can't wait to wear it when we get some warmer weather again.
