I finished the ruffled sundress this past weekend, but had to make quite a few alterations to it, so I didn't post a picture of it right away. I'm not sure if it's because of the dress' shapelessness or the fact that I spent a day or so doing alterations, but whatever the case, I don't know how I feel about this garment. First of all, this dress was way big. I had to take in several inches on all the front and back pieces. Then I also shortened the ruffle. I really like the fabric, but I don't know if that's enough to make me keep the dress. Hmmm...

I think it's super cute! Maybe it needs accessories? A long beaded necklace, or perhaps a belt? I don't know anything about fashion, except for what I see on Project Runway, so my suggestions come with a big ol' warning label. ;-)

Hey, that is a really cute dress! You aren't really a ruffle gal, but I think it looks good!

I love the dress. It looks good on you, even with the un-shaped form, so you must have done something very right! And- how comfy for summer!

one big leather belt and that dress will be really, really cute!

i think it looks cute and breezy - perfect for a super hot day when you don't want your clothes to touch you!

I think it's a cute dress- doesn't look shapeless to me. Maybe all you're wanting is a little embellishment, like some machine embroidery on that yoke, or an applique.

I think it's cute too! One of my favorite summer dresses is a very loose fitting number that is perfect for the really hot ones.
If you want if more fitted you could add a belt or make a belt out of some remnants and add belt loops to make it look like you meant to add a belt all along.
