Groups Fight Florida's Ban on Gay Adoption As Florida officials seek to remove a 10-year-old boy from the home of the same-sex foster parents who have raised him since infancy, gay and civil rights agencies and children's advocates have organized to challenge a state law prohibiting gays from adopting. This is the highly publicized Lofton-Croteau case, which was featured on PrimeTime Live last night. It is appalling to me that Florida, Mississippi, and Utah have bans on gay adoption. I don't think the sexuality of parents affects parenting skills if they provide a stable, loving home. Kudos to Rosie O'Donnell for supporting the case. Send a letter to Florida officials via Let Him Stay.
